IGIV

IGIV, also referred to as IVIG, is a solution of globulins containing antibodies present in a normal adult's blood. Individuals who do not produce sufficient amounts of immune globulin antibodies receive IGIV to bolster their immune systems. Among IGIV's many uses, it helps to treat pr prevent infections, such as: acute sinusitis, bacteremia, osteomyelitis and pneumonia.
